Dear Member,
Thank you so much for supporting our Kangaroo Cup event. The weather forecast isn’t always right, but it surely was this time. By delaying our shotgun start by 15 minutes it made all the difference. We arrived in wet weather gear only to find that within a short period of time the sun came out, off came our jackets and on with sunglasses! It helped to make it a great evening.
We were so pleased to hear the plans for this very much needed charity from Emma the CEO an our main contact Katy and thankful for their help before we ventured out.
Also a big thank you to Emma and our Club for a our hog roast on our return.
Congratulations to our winners:
1st Bruce, Somerville, David Walker, Ronan Cullen & Graham Sommerville
2nd Shaun Cowell, Jo Docherty, Paul Gladding & Nigel Fitzgerald
3rd Elaine Violaris, Tas Violaris, Angela Smith & Louisa Rydon
Nearest the Line for ladies was: Karen Lloyd and for the men Paul Smyth
Nearest the pin for the men was: Joe Docherty from Homecall Carpets, sadly, the ladies weren’t so successful.
We raised £1276 on the night
With Darren’s contribution of £2141, meant we raised £3417 purely for The Kangaroos Charity. Our next event The Captains’ Charity Auction, monies raised will be shared between Sussex Homeless and Kangaroos.
I would also like to thank our tee sponsors:
