The Club’s Presidents Weekend arrived along with a heatwave but this did not deter the 53 entrants from taking to the course to try to win the competitions and have their name on the Honours Boards.

The weekend hosts 2 competitions, the prestigious Presidents Cup and the Vice Presidents Salver. The former being a 36 hole competition over 2 days and the latter an 18 hole competition played on either day. The Cup is played in handicap order on the first day and the second day players are out in order of the lowest nett score through to the highest from the previous day’s results. The Salver is played in handicap order on both days.

It was great golf in glorious conditions. The competitive spirit prevailed, the players stayed focus and the course was in great shape to give top scoring opportunities and good low scores. There were individual prizes on both days and these were won as follows;

Following play on the Saturday many players stayed on to join the Presidents party and wait for the results, enjoying ice cold beers and soft drinks, chilled rose and fresh hot pizzas. As always, a fantastic atmosphere with the banter in the Clubhouse.

It was a hugely enjoyable 2 days and thank you to all the entrants for joining in to make it special, to Josh and his team for a great course and Niki and her team for catering for us all so well.

If you would like to be part of this fantastic event next year then reserve the dates in your diary now, Friday June 18th and Saturday June 19th 2027.
