I started my golf and joined as a Member at Cuckfield in 2007. I found the Ladies section very friendly and welcoming, which I am glad to say still remains so. My original thought was that I would learn to play and then move to an 18-hole course, but I have found that Cuckfield has provided me with the opportunity to play in Division matches as well as Club competitions and social play. The Club has a very proactive Competitions Committee which means that there is a monthly social competition which includes all sections of the Club.
I have always enjoyed sport throughout my life. As a schoolgirl I loved playing lacrosse where I was on the wing and had the freedom of the pitch. I continue to play tennis and swim each week, in the hope that this will keep me fit to continue my golf for many years to come.
My favourite hole at Cuckfield is the 3rd hole. I find that a very interesting hole because of the dog leg. I hope that when the new holes come into play we will still have a similar hole to the third.
