With the exceptional weather this September and following on the day after the Pro-Am some of our ladies were exhausted. However, they were there on the first tee ready for the challenge for our Ladies Club Championship on Wednesday 6th September.
John Parkinson and David Horne set the players off in style with photos and instructions for their round.
The pace of play was excellent with everyone coming in well under the four hours. It must have been the thought of a long, cold iced drink that spurred everyone on. A light lunch of quiche, salad and new potatoes went down very well. Just right for a very hot day.
The Nett scores were very close towards the top of the leader board, but our clear winner of the Ladies Nett Championship was Clare Parkinson (64), closely followed by Sharon O’Shea (66).
The overall Ladies Club Championship was won by Hsien Power with a gross score of 86 very closely followed by Carol Popplewell with a score of 87.
Well done to all who played and especially to our 2023 winners and runners-up.
