We had a great turn out for the ladies club championship, though somewhat unsurprisingly 7 sensible ladies decided to stay in the club house when they saw the weather. Heavy rain came and went and everyone got soaked.
Most players were affected by the conditions but Clare Parkinson didn’t let them bother her and had a wonderful round. She was the gross (87) and nett (72) champion. What an amazing achievement. Sharon O’Shea and Hsien Power were only just behind her. Everyone who played deserves credit for going out in tricky conditions and for posting some great scores. We were all very grateful to get into the club after 18 wet holes to enjoy the most delicious pizza. A big thank you to all the staff.
