The Gents Autumn Clinic meeting was recently held at the ever-enjoyable Seaford Head Golf Club on Thursday, 16th October.
Professional David Edwards reported a great turnout for the day and some fabulous golf being played. The gents began with a hearty full English breakfast before heading out for an 18-hole individual Stableford competition, which also featured nearest the pin and longest drive prizes.
The eventual winner was “learn to play” golfer Chris Dunley, who produced a superb score of 40 points! Just one point behind in second place was Paul Smyth, carding an excellent gross 79 for 39 points. In third place, John Wellington narrowly edged out Andrew Fairbank, both finishing with 37 points, but John claiming the higher spot on countback.
David Edwards himself rolled back the years with an impressive gross 71, including six birdies, to finish tied for fourth on 36 points alongside David Clark.
Next up will be the Gents Christmas Clinic, including breakfast and a scramble, at the club on 6th December — with a full house guaranteed!
