On Wednesday 30 August 9 of our ladies set off for the ProAm at Cowdray.
The sun was shining, there was very little wind and the course was in fabulous condition. The day started with coffee and a delicious Danish pastry, after the 7th hole we were treated to a Halfway House full of delicious home bakes, and the layout of the course means we were treated again at the 13th!
Our very own Ryan Fitzgerald, Bruce Whalley from Burgess Hill and Johnny Elliott from Cottesmore were our pro’s and they kept us all in good order. It was a good day for Cuckfield with Johnny, Kate, Sharon and Clare taking 1st place in the team event, Ryan taking 2nd place in the Pro event and Louisa taking nearest the pin. The golf was followed by lunch and prizegiving. A most enjoyable day out.
